it’s hissed through a red, RED mouth, blood dripping from his chin, wild grin– the kind that screams STAY AWAY in big, flashing letters; stay away or you’re NEVER leaving– gracing his battered features as he looks up at the very HELPFUL stranger. he can feel the world spinning beneath him, heat licking at his bare arms, & he tries to relax himself enough so he just gets SWALLOWED WHOLE by the earth.
it doesn’t happen– he opens dark eyes to see an unfamiliar face hanging over him, the sky alight from nearby flames. god, where the FUCK was he ?? he pushes himself up, whining through the pain that flares through his right side, one pale hand coming up to press against his ribs, insistently pushing on fragile bone until he yelps, finding the spot that’s fucked up. he growls, pushes to his feet, stumbles like he’s going to fall back down.
he doesn’t. his eyes are full of venom, his chin tilts up so he can sneer at the other–
